Thanks for posting this video. I haven't knitted socks as the other heel with gusset etc. looks so intimidating. This heel is not only simple but easy to repair. Or at least that is what the book says. Having read the book and found this video, I'm now ready to knit socks.

I'm wondering ... can this heel be used on *any* pattern or only the toe up pattern shown here. Thanks in advance for an answer.
