Whoa!  I have too many projects going at once and that I do not like!  Some people I know will have many projects going at once, a sweater, a scarf, two pairs of socks two at a time.  But I am not this type of knitter.  I enjoy the process, very much, from start to finish.  I haven't gone over to the dark side of socks, two at a time.  I really enjoy the round and round zen of a sock from toe through heel to cuff.  The tiny needles required strain my hands, however and I need a project with larger needles to give my hands a rest.  So I had a pair of socks for my husband on the needles, then some crazy green and orange wool came in the mail and I had to start those socks so they can be finished by St Patrick's Day.  Husband's socks are hibernating.  I was working on a drop stitch scarf (which I started for myself and gave to a friend) as an alternate and finished it which is good.  I started on the crazy socks, pictures forthcoming and started some slippers for myself.  I need to work on a sweater for the purple princess, (don't cast on, you'll never finish the socks) OK cast on, the socks are almost done.  Making a coffee cozy and hand warmers for my friend and I with the slashed price Noro.  I want to use that yarn sooooo badly.  ugh!  Don't do it! Don't cast on!  Ok, well, finish the socks quick!  St Pat's is coming!

Socks are awesome and not hard.  You have to just trust the instructions and follow them slavishly.  Good luck and have fun!  Having a knitters life is a lot of fun!

That sounds like a lot of fun to me!  I need to get my needle stash built up so that I can start all the yummy projects I see.  I am a new knitter as of January - so I dont have a whole lot yet.  I am so ready to try out socks!!!
