You know those little needles we all use to sew project pieces? I lose one a WEEK. I blame it on the small children but the truth is that I'm so excited when I finish sewing a project that I leave them all over the house. They almost never turn up again. I'm guessing that my couch is to blame but they aren't under the cushions. So WHERE are they?
These days, they are pushed through a small handknit strawberry that I originally made for my daughter. I have since reclaimed it for just this purpose! The strawberry sits idle in the bottom of my knitting basket just waiting for me to pull it out. I can put it back in and toss the strawberry on the sofa and KNOW it will still be there when I get back! The great thing about knit is that I can push three or four through the strawberry and it doesn't lose ANY of them.
How do you keep your blunt sewing needles organized?

I keep mine in a prescription bottle - the safety cap keeps the kids out - I hope.

I know how you feel about loosing them. I tie a piece of yarn on the sewing needle I use and keep others on a piece of napkin or Kleenex. I just found my little scissors that I use when doing crochet...on my husbands nightstand. I don't remember putting the there, but glad I found them. I have a little pouch made to hold a mirror, took the mirror out and use it for holding small items.
