'MY FAVORITE YARN' CONTEST!
We are having a raffle! The winner will get a $100 gift card at AlpacaDirect.com! All you have to do to get a raffle ticket is post a blog entry here on the community website. I can't wait to learn more about each of you as you enter the contest!
Post a blog entry finishing the following statement:
My favorite yarn is _______ because ________.
Tell us what you made from it or better yet SHOW us. I've included simple step by step instructions, but if you need help posting pictures, let me know! Pictures are encouraged so we can see how beautiful your favorite yarn is!
BONUS ENTRY! You can get an additional raffle ticket just by having photos posted in your PHOTO section! After you post a blog entry, show us your projects for a total of TWO chances to win!
The contest will end August 15, 2009, all entries MUST be posted on KnitIdeas.com and each person who posts an entry will be granted ONE raffle ticket and ONE additional raffle ticket if they have photos posted in their photo section. The winner will be chosen at random and everyone has a chance of winning a $100 gift card at AlpacaDirect.com.
Simple blog entry instructions:
Click on the "Quick Add..." drop down menu on the right side of the page.
Select "Blog Post".
Select "More Options" in the bottom left corner of the blog post window.
Enter your blog entry by chosing a title and typing text.
Click on the small camera icon at the top of the text window.
Upload a photo by browsing for it from your computer or enter a URL for the photo on the web.
Select "Add" then scroll down and select "Preview".
Once you have the post looking as you would like, select "Publish"!
Simple photo upload instructions:
Click on the "Quick Add..." drop down menu on the right side of the page.
Select "Photos".
Select "Browse" and choose a photo from your computer.
Select "Add Photos".
Select "OK" and you have just added a photo to your profile.

My favorite yarn is Cascade 220 Superwash because the yarn is toddler-proof. It knits like a breeze. I just designed a sweater using Cascade 220 Superwash. (sorry, no photos as it is under consideration of a magazine)

I don't really have a favorite yarn because I am such a newbie/beginner. I am still learning how yarns are made and what they are. I am eager to try Alpaca, there is a shawl in a book that calls for it, Thank you
