Fancy Scarf Pattern

FANCY SCARVES
Yarn – Patons Divine – 2 skeins of 1st color and 1 skein of 2nd color

Ch 4 – sl st in the first ch to create a ring
Rnd 1 – Ch 3, 3 dc in the ring, ch 3, 3 dc in ring, dc in first ch of ring
Rnd 2 – Ch 3, 3 dc in ch 3 in between the 3 dc’s from rnd 1, ch 3, 3 dc in ch 3 in between the 3 dc’s from rnd 1, dc in first ch of first ch 3 of rnd 1
Continue rnd 2 until scarf is desired length – then change color if desired

Rnd 1 – 5 sc in each ch 3 and dc all the way around the sides of the scarf – then change color back to 1st color
Rnd 2 – Ch 5 and sl st to the last sc of the 5 sc from the last rnd
Continue ch 5 until you have gone around the entire scarf with ch 5
Rnd 3 – 5 sc inside each of the ch 5
Fasten off

Create tassels to put on the ends (optional)
Cut 12 inch long strips – 20 in 1st color and 20 in 2nd color
Attach original color yarn to the bottom of the 2nd ch 5 from the top
Ch 5, sl st in the middle of the last rnd’s ch 5, ch 5, sl st at the end of the ch 5, continue this rnd until you have 5 ch 5’s
Slip knot 4 of the cut strips into each of the ch 5 – 2 of the 1st color and 2 of the 2nd color
