I am so glad that I was not alone.  I have knitted for years with circular needles and struggled with the coiling of the circular part.  I read somewhere to soak the plastic part in hot water and then shape them gently with your hands...or…

Please call TSA (Transportation Security Administration). They are very helpful and nice. They govern what can and can not be taken on airplanes. I called them in March about this subject. I was told that scissors 4" or less with a blunt nose…

I have one of these and they are SO convenient.  I have small children and am always afraid of leaving scissors around but the pendant is PERFECT! Except when my son puts it on and runs off with it...

My friend is a TSA inspector and as of March 2011, when I asked him last, there are no restrictions on crochet hooks or knitting needles in carryon luggage. Scissors are still restricted which is why I wear a clover thread cutter around my neck on a…

That's what I do and its worked fine for me.  Its maddening to have to fight with the cord of your needles while youre trying to work on a project.  And if its something light the needles never stop fighting you.

You have to put them in some hot water for a few minutes. Do not microwave any of them, even the acrylic ones. I agree, I hate when they boing back when knitting. The heat from your hands is supposed to relax them. First boil the water. After a tiny…

I have used the hot water method, but I don't put the needles in the water--just the plastic.

Use a blow dryer on high heat on the cable.  It should soften them up so you can straighten them out.

You should check out square needles. The circulars have such soft connector cables it is amazing! Plus my stitches are always super even with them. Here's the website: http://www.kollageyarns.com/needles.html

Hi, Before beginning a  project with circular needles I soak them in a bowl of warm water for about 10 minutes or until they will stay relatively straight. I've never had any issues with them breaking. Hope this helps :)

Depending on what they are made of you can soak the cord part in a cup of really hot water to relax it.  The cord should relax after that.

I either warm the cable by running it thru my hands a few times before I start the project or wear the needle around my neck inside my shirt before I start knitting. That seems to get them warm enough and once a few rows have been loaded I…

Home caught on fire and dystroyed everything.

I lost my yarn stash, my projects, my needles, my hooks everything, the fire damaged everything i cant save anything. so if anyone has any spare crochet hooks, knitting needles, and even yarn ill take it with appreiciation, just think of it as a good time to go through your stash.

My daughter had a fire in her apartment, the things she wanted to really keep we were told to use SIMPLE GREEN on, we washed all the things we could with it and the smells disappeared... maybe you could soak the yarn in a solution of simple green and water (the mixture was a 1/4 cup simple green to your wash water) It really worked, hope this helps you

Hi! The knit hat pattern is super easy!

Pick what size you want...For babies I use size 7 needles. For adults I use size 10.

Cast on 102
knit 2 - purl 2 every row until it the length you need it to be...11 inches for adults
about 8 inches for a baby

when it is the length you want

row 1 - knit 2 toghther for the whole row
row 2 - purl
row 3 - knit 2 together for the whole row
row 4 - purl
row 5 --knit 2 together for the whole row

cut the yarn leaving about 20 inches
thread yarn through yarn needle
use needle to remove remaining stitches and pull tight
sew seam.
GOOD LUCK!
