- Hi Sarah, welcome to Kniffty knitters. I had a hard time with circles too until I started using a circle loom. Do you or have you ever used a loom to knit? My hats usto have a seam line or they would be off by just a few stitches and never go together right. However, a circle loom makes it very easy to knit a hat, socks, or sleeves for a sweater. Really you can make anything on a loom that you can on a pair of needles. I just find a loom easier. Let me know how I can help and I would be glad to pass along any info I have. Evelyn
