- I have been a knitter since December of 2008. I took up knitting while going though radiation for thyroid cancer and rituxan infusions for rheumatoid arthritis...it was all I could do without losing my breath for months. Soon yarn and needles, and my bunny rabbits became a big part of me remaining sane through the treatments.
