I don't know if anyone helped you but you can just do a blanket with stripes with the colors baby blue white and brown. I'm doing my pattern in DC (may put in TC); I will do a SC around the border in a cream color.

www.lionbrand.com has some good patterns for simple afghans, im doing a easy ripple pattern one for my daughter. hers will be big enough to fit a playpen with ease.

welcome hon i find that site has a weath of patterns to use lol i tend to change them tho lol mines in treble stitch instead of dc because its going faster lol
