Knitting socks 4 Replies

I see several of you like to knit socks, I've never tried because I'd heard they were so hard.  Have they come up with an 'easy' way, now!!  What are slip stitch socks? Continue

I'm between Lubbock, Midland, and Big Spring -- basically in the middle of cotton fields LOL. I'm in Lamesa, a little town of less than 10,000 souls (but I think they counted dogs and cats!)

Hello from west Texas. Knitting isn't my first love, but I'm re-learning to like it :) I'm currently making tons of wash cloths and bibs (for sale, and for 2 new-to-be grandbabies).

Hi there Ellen

Welcome to the Group. I must agree with you, Socks are my passion! I've tried sweater making but that takes way to much math for me. Besides, socks take so little yarn and are portable too. :)

I need to post some pix of recent works... I've learned slipped stitch socks and those are way fun.

hi, I'm from West Texas, I'm thrilled to see so many young people in this group. I learned to knit MANY years ago. Most of my things have been smaller items, but I tried a few larger ones. I'm pretty busy, so smaller projects are more likely to get finished! If you know what I mean! And while my knitting machines are stored right now, I did enjoy using them! Maybe when I retire, I'll have more time :-)) But who knows when that will be!

I'm in Plano (suburb of Dallas) and am a novice knitter. I use it as therapy more than anything else. Scarfs and hats keep me busy. One of these days I will try something harder. Maybe one of you will inspire me.
