ok, so here I am, second basic ankle sock ready for Kitchner. Got that down pat! Get the first sock to compare to the finished twin when I notice that the second socks' toe is wider...??? Realized that I didn't decrease enough! I missed 1 round of decreases, sheesh!

Ever try to frog Kitchner? I needed 2 more hands to put the needles back into the live stitches while using a darning needle to remove the graft.

Thank goodness I left a very long tail on the sock....

OMG! Thank goodness for the long tails, my friend! I'm almost done with my Christmas socks, I have been very careful to match the stripes, but I don't know what happened. Not perfect, just like me! I'm not frogging because of stripes. At least your problem was at the end of the project!
I know what you mean when matching stripes. I have some verigated/self stripping yarn and was trying to match the pattern. I took the skeins and wound them into balls. I left a long enough tail so I could match the pattern to within a few stitches. NOT gonna happen! Both balls were wound from center pull skeins but I guess at the factory they got the ends backwards. The pattern was running the other direction. What to do, what to do.... Made the sock anyway! They're for my step mother, not that I dislike her mind you, but, she hates everything!

In my heart of hearts I know she'll not like them, the color, the style, the pattern.... The only reason I'm gifting them to her is because I'm giving a pair to my dad. Don't want her to think I wasn't thinking of her as well....

Ugh, convoluted extended families make me crazy! Besides, what's wrong with fraternal twins? LOL
thas when doing it the double circ way is great cuz ur only using the needles and cables so id just slide the cables back in where u slid ur needle out dpns are a pain to back up your knitting for lol trust me i know i did it enough on my kids socks. i messed up her first pair but she doesnt care so im happy lol besides if its aperson u know will hate them thus probably never wear them i say sew it up and go
