is it really TRUE ... that Alpaca, the most AWESOME, softest yarn around ... stretches and doesn't resume it's original form?

I have heard that alpaca stretches out ... when worn, and doesn't resume it's
original form? IS THIS TRUE???

Does it help to have the alpaca or my fav, Baby Alpaca ... cut with something, like
Merino???

Alpaca does stretch since it has little memory unlike sheep fiber. Sheep has the best memory (returns to the orginal shape when the twist was set)...personally I like to use merino 50/50 alpaca for my sweaters and garments that need to return to the original shape. I love to use all alpaca for shawls and such that I want to have the greatest drape. Think of alpaca like a silken fiber and wool like a bouncy fiber--as in it bounces back. SO when you combine to two you have the best of both worlds.

Enjoy them both!!
