I just purchased three square circular needles on Sunday. I had read that they were helpful with wrist and hand issues (I have pre-carpel tunnel), and I have to just say that I LOVE them. I am working on my first non-baby sweater (boy's size 10) and I knit for probably 5 hours yesterday with no numb hands and fingers!!! I was amazed! The first day that I used them, I didn't have any wrist issues, but the back muscle between my elbow and my wrist was so painful that I had to ice it. The second and third days, no problems! Have any of you tried them, and what did you think?

I've never heard of them. I have post carpel tunnel issues. Surgery was done back in 2001 but nothing ever heals perfectly. Can you post a pic of them here? Where did you find them? Were they expensive? So many questions, not enough time. LOL Please let us know. Thanks for posting about them.
I"ve heard of them but never tried them! I'm so glad that you like them. I'll have to keep my eye out for a set and see what I think! Thanks so much for the suggestion!
Where did you find them? I would love to try them as I have hand and wrist issues. I have had carpel tunner surg ey which was grate no issues with that.
They are made by Kollage Yarns, and I got mine at my local yarn shop. Not the best selection, but I could use some of the sizes that they had. When I decide I need more I will be looking online for a better selection of sizes. I believe they are around $15-16 a pair. Not sure about the double points, but I will have to get some of those soon ;)
I have square double points size 2 for socks and love them. So much easier to knit with and no wrist pain. I got mine at Kaleidoscope Yarn in Essex Junction VT, made by Kollage. Wonderful.
This sounds like something I should get...I have arthritis in hands and wrists....and have been having tendon issues for the past 6 months....better than it was. I haven't been doing much knitting or crocheting at all since April.
I've been making them for a few years. I buy bamboo or wood needles one size larger than I need and sand them square. Be sure to round off the edges a bit. I then use my emery board to final sand them smooth, and rub them with just a smidge of poly or other wood finishers. They don't have to be completely square to work, and be sure to recheck your guage to be sure you don't need to make them smaller...
