Hello to all!

My name is Margie and I'm from Alvin, TX. I'm a novice knitter (2 yrs) but love to try anything atleast once. I'm self taught AND left handed! So you can imagine reading patterns in reverse??!! SSK's are on the wrong side, K2Tog same thing.... Oh, and don't forget the dreaded twisted stitches. I was wondering why my socks kept spiraling! Eh', live and learn to love the frog stitch, LOL.

Glad to have found this sight and look forward to "meeting" everyone.

Yes, I am. :o)
I'm a righty knitting left handed because I watched my mother and copied her stitches backwards!! I use white out on my patterns before I begin the project and change the SSK's ect..

Blessed Be Sister!
Merry Meet Ro,

Great Idea! I still have to stop and re think sometimes when it comes to decreases. Like a road block or a detour. I'm going to have to try the white out tip.

L & L, Margie
They really should write books in left hand knitting! It seems like we absolutely have a market for it! I have enough trouble knitting patterns the easy way, I applaud you all for learning to do it LEFT handed! :)
Hi Melissa,

I would really Love a lefties book, however, since only 10% of the population is "in their right mind", it wouldn't be cost effective. AND, with the knitting worlds' mindset, lefties should do it the "Right" way, designers aren't going to change the way they do things just to accommodate the 10%.

Lefties are very versatile and can think around corners. Rightie patterns are just a just another bump in the road. We shall overcome :)
