I am knitting a sweater with ragland sleeves and have the back finished.  I am almost finished with the front when I noticed my needles I was using were smaller than the ones I used on the back.  Will I still be able to finish the sweater without having to start the front all over again? Thanks for your opinion.:)

That depends.  What you will find is that your gauge is probably a little different in the front than the back.  Sometimes, patterns do this to create shaping within a garment.  For instance, I've knit a sweater that uses smaller needles through the waist to create shaping.  How far off are your needles and better yet, when you measure, how different is your gauge?

My needles are 7 and 5.  I used the 5 when I should have used the 7.

You may have to knit more rows.  The main concern will be if the width is the same.

The width is not the same.  I'm a good inch off in the width.
If you are OCD, you need to frog and start again, if not, check the sizing, make the adjustments and finish the sweater.  Good Luck.
I love how you put this!  I would have to frog it!  In my earliest knitting days where projects felt like to took a year to complete I would have tried to fix it and forever hated it.
so, true (about those early knitting days)  Now I just tell myself, oh, I love to knit anyway, and I am doing this for the love of it, so it's not going to hurt anything to just start it over.  I once had to tell myself that 5 times, but I still started it a 6th, got it finished and love it!

I totally feel the same way!  It is worth the time to start over and make it right!  My husband does woodworking and once he saws his wood, it is a done deal...not always a way to fix errors.  But...this is just yarn.....take it apart and start again so you'll be pleased with and actually USE the finished project.  I have spent many-a-time "deknitting" and reknitting so that I'll be happy!  :D

I take it ..."frog it" must mean start all over????  But you are right.  Why try and make something work when you are going to end up hating it.  It's a sweater for my husband and I know he would feel obligated to wear it...or not.  hmmmmmm...
What is OCD?
She's referring to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.  If you are going to be looking at every detail when you see the sweater, you might want the details to be perfect!  I sure HOPE your husband feels obligated to wear it :)  You put a whole lot of your time, effort and energy into.  Not to mention LOVE!
Thank you for the clarification on OCD....I kept trying to think of a knitting term it could possibly mean....DAH....   :)
