I would love to have yarn and will gladly pay the postage for it.  Also would crochet your hat for you.  Just email me the pattern and I will get started checking out the way its made.  Here is my email address....mrstbenton@verizon.net.    My address is 1965 Stonehill Dr   Justin,TX   76247        Unless of course you have found someone else to do you for it

I need a easy ripple crochet pattern for a afghan. My email is Gaunopeach@AOL.COM

Search Result for RIPPLE    Not sure if this link would work  http://www.freepatterns.com/list.html?parent_cat_id=2&usage=&am...

Go to www.freepatterns.com and join up. It's free. Just enter your e-mail address.  After doing so, do a search for RIPPLE for anything in crochet. There's one pattern (striped Ripple Afghan) that might be what you would be looking for?

Try the Craft Yarn Council site. They have a really easy ripple pattern that you will certainly make over and over again.
I am a crocheter! I, sadly, cannot knit- though I do attempt to learn from time to time. I am new here, too, so maybe we can help each other figure the place out!
stick with it keep trying
Yes, I just learned and love it! So if I can do it you can too. Believe me it's addicting! I CAN'T put it down! My husband bought me a book on it too a few weeks ago!

Hi Rhonda,
I am happy to hear that you know how to do both...crocheting and knitting. My first love is crocheting...but would like to do knitting, too. I have in the past knitted some things, but very little. I like the look of a knitted piece, to me it looks more professional. Do you have any ideas for knitting hats and scarves?
Thanks,
Patricia
Hi Rhonda,
Thanks for the reply...nice site for learning how to knit. I have never used circular needles, but have wanted to try them. I cast on my beginning stitches the way they show on the video. Now I have to purchase some new needles :). Walmart here I come.
Thanks again,
Patricia
The only knitting needles or crochet hooks I have found at Wal Mart are the ones made by Boye. I have crocheted since I was a little girl and have knitted for several years, though not nearly as long. And I just wanted to add that for knitting - both with straight or circular ones - the Clover brand knitting needles are wonderful in the bamboo - and for crocheting, I think the Susan Bates hooks are great. The best place I've found to get them is at A. C.Moore, though you can get them at JoAnn's as well. The selection at JoAnn's just doesn't seem to be as large. I live in a rural area, so I have at times ordered them online to give as gifts. The Clover bamboo needles just glide and feel great, and - to me - with the shape of the hook on the Susan Bates, it is easier to prevent the yarn from splitting. I thought this might be helpful to someone who is beginning with either. I very much enjoy both types of needlework!
I'm totally with you on the Susan Bates, when I see one in a store, if I dont have that size, I buy it! and they are harder to find, dont know why. My father bought me my first crochet hook 38 years ago and it was a Susan Bates E hook, since then I am hooked on that brand, the shape overall is much better and for some reason is easyer to work with.
